Tobin Hansen, Secretary General

Tobin Hansen is a junior at Claremont McKenna College majoring in Economics with a minor in Public Policy. In addition to serving as your Secretary General, Tobin is an intern for the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Defense. Outside of MUN, he has enjoyed working for the Asia Experts Forum and being a teaching assistant in economics and public policy courses. This will be Tobin’s 7th year in the Model UN community, and he is excited to welcome you all to Claremont McKenna’s campus!







Yoana Sidzhimova, Director General

Yoana is a sophomore at CMC studying International Relations and Economics. She was born in Bulgaria but moved to northern suburbs of Chicago with her family in 1st grade. On campus, she is on the Model United Nations travel team, is a member of the Claremont Consulting Group, works as a writing consultant at the Center for Writing and Public Discourse and works as an economics tutor. In her free time, Yoana loves to get off campus and explore Pasadena, Santa Barbara and sometimes LA. Yoana has served as Secretary General of her previous high school’s conference and is very excited to be part of running a conference again!








Katie O’Neill, USG External

Katie O’Neill is a rising sophomore studying International Relations. She is a member of CMC’s travel Model UN team and is the secretary of CMC’s Amnesty International club. She spent this past summer interning in Morocco. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time by the pool.”






Jake Leischner, USG Finance

Jake Leischner is a sophomore at CMC dual majoring in International Relations and Philosophy. He was born in Georgia, but was brought up in landlocked New Mexico. Outside of Model UN, Jake works for the Rose Institute, writes for the Golden Antlers, and serves on the Gould Center’s student advisory board.







Emma Houston, USG General Assemblies

Emma is a senior majoring in Economics and Philosophy. She grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts. She currently serves as President of CMC Model United Nations and was previously the Treasurer of the team. Outside of CMC’s Model United Nations team, Emma works at the admissions office giving tours and interviewing prospective students, and does philosophy research with one of her professors. Emma is thrilled to serve as USG for General Assemblies this year, and cannot wait for the best McKennaMUN yet.







Joe Noss, USG Specialised and Crisis Committees

Joe Noss is a student at Claremont Mckenna College in Southern California studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. A Canadian, Joe grew up in Toronto, Ontario. Over the past two years, Joe has worked actively as a research assistant and project manager at the Rose Institute for State and Local Government. Differently, during the summer Joe had the opportunity to be the Program Coordinator at a summer camp in Southern Ontario. In his free time, Joe is an avid member of his college’s Model United Nations team, and can also be found trying to surf on one of the many nearby beaches whenever possible.








Sahib Bhasin, USG Logistics

An Indian raised in Budapest, Hungary, Sahib’s international background led him to join his high school’s Model United Nations team in 10th grade. His experiences traveling to places like Berlin and The Hague for conferences shaped his skills, values, and goals. He hopes to recreate these experiences for McKennaMUN’s delegates by serving the conference’s logistical needs.







Ariana Kemp, USG Business Development

Hi everyone! My name is Ariana Kemp and I am a junior studying International Relations. This fall, I studied abroad in Morocco and had a wonderful time learning about the country’s history and politics, and of course eating lots of couscous! On campus I sing in an a cappella group and I work at the career services office. I started going to Model UN conferences in high school, and I am so excited that you all have discovered it as well. I look forward to meeting all of you!







Jenifer Hanki, USG Marketing

Jenifer Hanki is a junior at Claremont McKenna College, majoring in International Relations, minoring in Leadership with an emphasis in Finance. She considers herself a globe-trotter, spending her last two summers in Japan, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Belgium as well as studying abroad fall of 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark analyzing the political dynamic of the E.U.-U.S. relationship. Jenifer is interested in the intersection of politics and entrepreneurship, as she spent her last summer in Brussels as a research intern at the European Trade Association for Business Angels, Seed Funds, and Early Stage Market Players, helping start-ups across the E.U. gain access to both angel investors and European Commission grant funding.  Some of her favorite pastimes include photography, painting, ceramic sculpture, all forms of dance, and board games.
